Depth Charge starts life as 100% pure BC Honey. We gently ferment our honey into mead and distill that mead into vodka using custom designed stills to separate out the harsh heads and the oily tails, ensuring that only the softest and sweetest hearts are ever collected.

Welcome to the delightful collaboration between a small local coffee roastery and Wayward’s award winning Unruly Vodka. We cold brew a custom blend of Royston Roasting Co’s organic fairtrade espresso and raw organic cacao nibs with our Unruly Vodka to achieve dark and dry perfection.

BC SPIRITS NOTES

Had a family trip to Vancouver today so I tried to be witty and cool and taste a coffee liqueur because I closed the bar down last night. Instead, it didn’t pan out and I am now on my back deck tasting the delicious Wayward Distillery Depth Charge, their delicious complex coffee liqueur that is perfectly roasted espresso with bitter cocoa nibs and sweet honeycomb.

Alcohol - 33% / 66 proof

Color - deep coffee chocolate

Nose - High notes of coffee and bitter chocolate, always with that hint of honeycomb

Taste - Complex chocolate and coffee, complimenting while still fighting each a little

Finish - Like sweet coffee
