Huge shoutout to @liquorist_yyj for the samples from Montis Distilling. Their Winter Spirit is a delightful single malt spirit infused with apple and spice; it could of gone the way of sweet and faux but instead balances and compliments each other with the single malt spirit working with the cooked apple notes and Christmas spice. Perfect for egg nogs.
Alcohol - 40% / 80 Proof
Color - Light wheat
Nose - Balanced but strong single malt notes lead into stewed apple and spice. Grown up apple pie
Taste - This really could of leaned into sweet, faux, apple pie but instead become a balanced and well thought out “apple pie” spirit
Finish - Stewed apple, Christmas spice and long lingering single malt spirit
Best Enjoyed - Egg nog
