DISTILLERY NOTES
A Blended Canadian Whisky using an average 66% Unmalted BC Wheat / 33% unmalted BC Rye then aged in second use French Oak Okanagan Red Wine and Cherry Port Barrels.
Each of the six barrels that make up this release had their own unique mash bill and barrel char levels. Distilled & Barreled in January, February, March 2016
BC SPIRITS NOTES
A whisky distillery that is really coming into their own, Legend Distilling has started rolling on their whiskies and to be honest, every release is better than the last. This wheat rye blend is yet another example of their exploration into grains, deep wheat notes are complimented by high spice from the rye; aged for 4 years. Very limited, get it.
Alcohol - 46% / 92 Proof
Color - Deep burnt orange
Nose - Sweet wheat, hints of wine with deep base notes of spicy vanilla
Taste - Complex mix of deep wine tones, sweet wheat, spicy rye notes and vanilla oakiness
Finish - Deep complexity of wine barrel aging and sweet wheat with hints of spice
Best Enjoyed - Neat
