BC Spirits "Spirits a Day" #316 - Legend Distilling Manitou

DISTILLERY NOTES

An all natural organic orange liqueur with miles of orange flavour and a finish of tart sumac berries, wild foraged in Naramata, BC.

BC SPIRITS NOTES

Another "What Were you Thinking Soole" episode of searching through my collection for hidden gems that haven't been on the show yet. The Legend Distilling Manitou is a gorgeous orange and sumac liqueur from the Naramata Bench. Rich, almost curacao style orange on the nose with hints of botanical sumac underneath. On the palate, orange and bright sumac string you along, a must have substitute for triple sec in local spirit focussed bars.

Alcohol - 30% / 60 proof

Color - Bright orange with golden edges

Nose - High notes of tart sumac with bittersweet orange

Taste - Rich orange peel, hints of curacao bitterness and then the tart, almost citrus vinegar notes are in the back

Finish - Dried orange and complex herbal notes of sumac

Best Enjoyed - Sub curacao or triple sec in any classic
