DISTILLERY NOTES
To continue our pandemic series of whiskies, Lockdown is our signature style aged in a 100% ex-Bourbon barrel. Highlighting the sweetness of corn, vanilla, caramel and ripe melon notes this whisky is light and sweet.
Our whisky uses 100% malted barley, is doubled distilled and aged for no less than three years in oak.
BC SPIRITS NOTES
I think this distillery is the unsung whisky distillery in BC. Stevely from The Dubh Glas Distillery makes whiskies that sell out in days, meaning I never get to see them here on the island. But this little number was an amazing Xmas gift. 100% ex Bourbon American Oak, just a huge vanilla oak bomb; super rich palate with corny sweetness, vanilla and structure oak. Looking forward to delving further into the samples I got
Alcohol - 46% / 92 proof
Color - Dark wheat
Nose - Spicy oak, vanilla, dry spice
Taste - Rich grain profile is the back bone to the bold vanilla, spiced oak structure and fruity stone fruit notes
Finish - Vanilla and fruity stonefruit lingering with hints of oak
Best Enjoyed - Neat
